Charles plays a lot of darker characters despite his naturally sunny disposition.
Most recently Charles portrayed Stu, the banker, on General Hospital, was cast as the Hotel Manager on Pitch, and has been seen on Mad Men, Cristela, Ray Donovan, Criminal Minds and Scorpion.
Recent films include Simple Twist, Among Thieves (winner of the Best Ensemble at the SD Film Awards), and lead in the feature Night Fears.
On stage, Charles had the lead in La Jolla Playhouse’s Detained In the Desert and completed 180 performances of The Car Plays (winner of Craig Noel Award for Special Theatrical Event) also at the La Jolla Playhouse. Previously, he performed in the highly successful productions of Regrets Only at Diversionary and John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men (nominated for Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Dramatic Production) at New Village Arts, and Poster Boys for Moxie and Diversionary Theatres. He has also worked with ion, 10th Ave, and San Diego Musical Theatre (Footloose & The Sound of Music). Charles toured the country in Much Ado About Nothing with the National Players.
He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. Charles trained at RADA, Tony Barr’s Film Actors’ Workshop, the Upright Citizens’ Brigade, and Robert Wald’s Actors’ Studio.
